In 2014, I was in an illustration class where I was assigned to draw one page of an alphabet book. I spent my spring break studying light and cityscapes and contemplating different perspectives. When I felt like I had collected enough knowledge on each element of the image I sat down and drew the Image for the letter A. It was accepted into the 2015 issue of Graphis under "New Talent".
My professors suggested I push that one image into a complete alphabet book. By the time the student addys rolled around, I had 8 images finished and I was encouraged to submit them where they won gold for "illustration series" at local, district and national levels.
I figured I might as well keep it going, so I spent two more years working on it and now it's totally a book that you can do all your favorite book things with like reading it or putting it on your shelf for later or even letting a friend borrow it for a week and never seeing it again.
